Making even small changes can seem almost impossible when you already feel down.  Medications can have side effects and don’t always take care of everything. Therapy is  expensive and time consuming.

You want to feel better but aren’t quite sure where to begin or what to try next.

Consider this:

Decades of research show that cognitive-behavioral therapy, skills training, and group support are effective ways to improve mental and emotional functioning.  Much like a smart-phone, the brain has “apps” for everything from riding a bicycle to having a romance. In a sense, it is possible to upload new ones and to upgrade the brain’s operating system for a happier, more effective life.

Psychiatrist Thomas Lissman and Licensed Professional counselor Susan Meyers have  developed a classroom-based program with the premise that growth, change, and improved moods can be accomplished in a short period of time and without major expense or effort.

The Brain Apps Series is divided into three one-month modules. In the classroom, participants view multimedia presentations, practice brain changing activities, and problem solve with others.

Participants are free to join at the beginning of any module.
